Spencer, MA – December 2, 2020
UPDATED ON 12/3/2020 TO CHANGE THE DATE OF THE EVENT FROM 12/5 TO 12/12 DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER.
The Spencer Police Association (SPA) is hosting their annual Christmas event on Saturday, 12/12/2020, at 10:00 a.m. for district-enrolled students in grades K-3, but with a twist! In years past, officers have purchased, wrapped and hand-delivered a gift to students enrolled at Wire Village and East Brookfield Elementary Schools at their annual Christmas party. This cherished event has become a tradition and normally takes place during the school day, bringing so much joy to the children during the holiday season. Things will be a little different this year, however. Due to COVID-19, the SPA had to get a little more creative and have organized a drive-through event, keeping the tradition alive and allowing children the opportunity to share the experience with their parents this year. The event will take place at Wire Village Elementary School. Families can follow the loop and drive up to the front of the school to meet and greet the officers, speak with Santa Claus and receive their gifts.
The Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District would like to extend a warm and heartfelt THANK YOU! to all of the parties involved in making this event a reality and for helping to spread holiday cheer to our students, and of course for all that you do to keep our communities safe year-round!
