Spencer, MA - Ms. Morgan Kates was honored on Thursday, March 27th, 2025, at the Hogan Center at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, as David Prouty High School's 2025 Worcester County Superintendents' Association Scholar Award recipient. Ms. Kates was one of over seventy-five to be celebrated at the Worcester County Superintendents' Association Annual Scholars' Recognition Luncheon.
The Worcester County Superintendents' Association program began with a welcome from the President, Ms. Amy McKinstry, who welcomed the scholars and congratulated them for their many achievements. WCSA President McKinstry then introduced the keynote speaker for the luncheon, Ms. Carolyn Casey, Founder and Executive Director of Project 351.
Project 351 is a youth-led service established in 2011 with the mission and vision of transforming communities, elevating kindness, and advancing opportunity by investing in the courage, compassion, and unlimited capabilities of eighth-grade unsung heroes and quiet leaders. The vision of Project 351 is to foster a generation of courageous, compassionate, and skilled leaders who unite in service to advance the values of community, the aspirations of opportunity, the tenets of civic responsibility, and the dignity and potential of every individual. Ms. Casey's keynote speech spoke eloquently to the mission and vision of the organization but also keyed in on the values of continuing to promote kindness, compassion, humility, and gratitude. Many of the Worcester County Superintendent Association Scholars attending the luncheon were Project 351 Ambassador Alumni.
