SPENCER, MA - It is with regret that we write to inform you of the fact that the 2024 Thanksgiving Day football game between David Prouty HS and Millbury HS, scheduled for November 28, 2024, has been canceled. This forfeit to Millbury is the result of, despite efforts by the David Prouty coaching staff, a lack of participation, discipline measures, and injuries. These issues would have created a competitive disadvantage which may have resulted in injuries and an overabundance of caution, this cancellation was required. We hoped to create a new tradition between our schools on Thanksgiving and offer our apologies for these last-minute adjustments.
