Today is National Pi Day! Pi Day celebrates the mathematical symbol, π, which was introduced in 1706. However, the concept of Pi has been around much longer. While a beloved holiday for mathematicians and teachers out there, giving them the opportunity to nerd out, there are plenty of other ways to celebrate, both entertaining and educational. These range from deals on pies and pizza pies, fun jokes, songs, and movies, children's activities and crafts and so much more. @ChooseSEBRSD

Please take a moment to join us in celebrating our 2023-2024 John and Abigail Adams Scholarship Award recipients at David Prouty High School. The John and Abigail Adams Scholarship is a merit-based program that provides a credit toward tuition for up to eight semesters of undergraduate education at a Massachusetts state college or university. For this scholarship, merit is based on student scores on the 10th grade Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) test. The purpose of the award is to: - Reward and inspire student achievement; - Help attract more high-performing students to Massachusetts public higher education; and - Provide families of college-bound students with financial assistance. We could not be more proud of our scholars (minus a couple from this photo) for achieving this honor from the Commonwealth; and we wish them nothing but continued success in all that they do in their future endeavors. Job well done! @ChooseSEBRSD @MASchoolsK12 @MASCSChoolComm
