PRESS RELEASE – SPENCER-EAST BROOKFIELD REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION (2021-2022)
Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District is now accepting Kindergarten applications for the 2021-2022 school year for children who have reached the age of five (5) years old by August 31, 2021. Kindergarten is offered at both Wire Village School in Spencer and East Brookfield Elementary School in East Brookfield, depending on residency. School hours are 8:25 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., Monday through Friday. Due to the current pandemic, there is no Open House scheduled at this time. There is no registration deadline.
Parents/Guardians must submit the following completed documentation to register your child for Kindergarten:
- Registration Form
- Nurse’s Form
- Medical Forms (physical and immunizations – see below)
- Original Birth Certificate for your child
- Two proofs of residency (see list of acceptable documentation)
- Transportation Form
- Home Language Survey
- Kindergarten Survey (needs to be completed and returned with your packet)
Medical forms with current physical (within one year of start date) and up-to-date immunizations must be completed by your physician and returned to Student Services two (2) days prior to the opening of school. Children will not be able to attend school unless all completed medical forms are provided. Your family physician must detail that your child has been given the following immunizations and also indicate the dates the immunizations were given:
- 5 doses Diphtheria, Pertussis, and Tetanus (DTaP)
- 4 doses Polio
- 3 doses Hepatitis B
- 2 doses Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
- 2 doses of Varicella Vaccine or Chicken Pox disease
- Proof of Lead Screening
- Vision and Hearing Screenings

Completed Kindergarten packets should be returned as soon as possible to ensure that your child can start school on time.
In-person registration can be done at the office of Student Services located inside David Prouty High School at 302 Main Street, Spencer, MA 01562. Registration hours are Monday through Thursday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. year-round. Appointments are recommended but not required. Completed packets can also be mailed to:
